Section 122 - Public officer dishonestly receiving money or property not due.

Whoever being a public officer in his capacity as such dishonestly receives from a person any money or other property which he is not authorised to receive or which is in excess of the amount which he is authorised to receive, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years or with fine or with both.
